Comp ratio's on D-series Head combos
I was on c-speed.com and I came to the terrible realization that my Y8 head is not goin to be what I expected on my Z6 Block. I dont know why I was thinking this, maybe wishful thinking; but anyways with this combo I will have a comp ratio of 9.7:1, and with my Z6 Turbo pistons (9:1) I should be around 9.6:1. Keep in mind I have STOCK SLEEVES, my power goal is 300+. Here is a list of some of the stuff I have, so it'll help you guys piece this together.
Y8 head, bowl ported stock cam
Z6 block, GE block guard
eagle rods
9:1 forged pistons
stock crank, balanced everything
Skunk 2 intake
720cc squirts
Lovefab mani & down pipe
Precision t3t4 60 cold, 63 hot
Uberdata.
How much power can my stcok sleeves handle, and with this compression how much boost can I run with this setup? Should I just stop after I hit 300? or is there something Im not thinking about?
Any help would be great, I have been caught off guard by this!

I'm pretty sure you did something wrong... considering the Z6 stock is 9:1 and the Y8 head has a much smaller quench area, it would RAISE compression, not lower it. A Y8 head on that block (all else stock) should be 9.4:1.
Why are you asking us where you shold stop? Thats your choice, not ours..

Waht the hell!?!?! I just went back on and now its posting different numbers...maybe I did it wrong before so now its posting that I'll have a 9.7:1, and after a 9:1 Z6 forged piston, I'll have a 9.6:1? a little higher than I originally wanted, with this comp I should run lower boost? like maybe 15psi?

I've ran 15psi on 10:1 and plan on running 25psi with it. Your compression is not too high.

Yes sir.
Yes sir.
I always forget who, but there was a 400whp stock-sleeve d-series around, but dropped a valve (just bad luck).
FYI y8 head is 32.8cc, z6 is 34.6cc. I plan on doing what EF8 D-UNIT is tryin for, cept with an HF manifold with an AC adapter - which should act as a minor anti-reversion piece. Shooting for 300whp with the HF, and 300-400 with a love-fab mini-me manifold. I'm taking one step at a time though.

You're probably thinking of gitwidit, but he was Benson sleeved. Howard at ARFab made 400whp on a stock sleeve D16 and so did Matt Patrick, but I don't think either of them dropped a valve.
