Default common for more lag at less boost?

Ok, so i had my HX35 on my b20 (low comp) set at about 12psi and was making that by 4100 rpm. I just put my GSR in and its set at 7-8psi and its not making 7 till about 5k. But i cant find anything wrong. And the GSR is on break-in so i dont wanna be hammering on it. JUst wondering if it common for a bigger turbo to have more lag at less boost?

So you're not at WOT and wondering why it's taking longer to build up boost?

no i get on it, but im not bagin through the gears. im sayin at like 12-13psi in third i would roll into it at about 2000rpm and by 4100 it would be at 12psi. Now with the GSR, doin the same, ill roll into it at about 2000 rpm in third and it takes right about 5000 to see 7psi.

GSR is only 1.8L VS 2.0L. The bigger engine is going to spool the turbo faster.

And a better tune has something to do with it. On a better tune its alot better.

Compression doesn't make much difference on lag. He is right. Its your displacement.
