OK AFTER 2 WEEKS OF PLAYING WITH MY BOOSTED D16Z6 PROJECT I CANT GET THIS CODE 9 TO GO AWAY. I NEED TO KNOW THE EXACT COLORS FOR THE WIRING ON AN OBD1 DISTRIBUTOR. THIS DISTR. WORKS ON MY COUPE BUT THROWS A CEL ON MY HATCH.

 

see a helms

check for resistance on that circuit

then check continuity in the wires

most times i see a code 9 isnt improperly shielded wires or loose connections at the ECU

 

Did you get this thing fixed or not? I can give you the info.. just wondering if you need it.

im getting the same code on my car any help would be appreciated

 

i was lookin at the car but i need to know what wire the cyp sensor is becuase i have no clue i placed a 3rd workin distributor on it and the same thing happened but when it goes back on the coupe its fine.

 

orange, couldn't tell if any other colors where on there, its the cylinder #1 position sensor, if its not bad wireing it time for a new dizzy hope this helps

 

its the dash harness i ran the wire strait from the distributor to the ecu and the code went away thanx
