coating manifolds

I was wondering whether I could still coat my manifold that has already been driven on. Will the coating still take after the metal has been exposed to heat??

HPC coating will take but does tarnish anyway from the heat after awhile unless you go for the black jet coating shiz.

I have my exhaust housing HPC coated. I just use aluminum shinner to get it pretty again.
