Co2 intercooler spraying??
I have been looking this up and it seems to work fairly nicley specially on hot days somtimes lowering your temp from 30-50 degrees. Iv been thinking about running one for this year. Doesnt seem to be too complicated either.
I was looking into just making my own kit and just building it myself bc it seems really all you need is the sprayer, seliniod, line, fittings, and co2 tank to do this. Does anybody know of a write up there is or (How-To-Do) with steps online?
My questions are...
1. Where can i buy just the selinoid and sprayer? I know they sell the sprayers on ebay and such but there is no selindoid that goes with it...
2. Where can i get the braided line? Or does it not have to be braided? I would think regular vacume line would not hold the presure in the tank.
3. Have any of you built your own kits? Are the results worth it??
Am i better off just buying a hole kit offline?? Any input would be greatly appericiated.
Thanks.

Re: Co2 intercooler spraying??
i have a really stupid question when it comes to these kits. does any of the co2 ever get ingested by the engine? think about it you are spraying a noncombustible, at a high rate through the intercooler and most turbos sit right there. just a thought.

Re: Co2 intercooler spraying??
I read a great review about this with dyno testing. Ill try to find the article. They found it worked great, just like a nitrous spray. They also talked about co2 getting ingested by the engine and they said it was not an issue and if a little was ingested it would only hurt performance but not damage anything. If you think about it, if you spray the outside of the FMIC not much of the gas can pass the intercooler and radiator and find its way to the turbo. I guess it would be worse with a 1/2 rad.

Re: Co2 intercooler spraying??
I currently run the NX intercooler sprayer and it works great to lower the air intake temps. but i prefer the nitrous sprayer cause i have heard although the CO2 is cold if to much in ingested in the engine it robs the air suplpy as CO2 has no air. plus with the nitrous sprayer if a bit goes through the turbo it gives it a little kick in the but too!
