It a really nice daily driving clutch, i make 280wtq and it held up fine. It drive like a stock clutch im my opinion.
I would also like to know if anyone have went into the 300+ wtq with this clutch, my next set-up should make around 320+wtq so im thinking of going with a stage 5 but am interest to know how much the stage 3 can hold up to.

i ran my kevlar and loved it for the street w/ minor power n/a...a freind runs it in his f22/h22 vtec motor and its holdin up great...my only prob w/ kevlqar is that onces its heated up it tends to slip...after about 6 passes i had to let it cool down or else it would grab at all....so i eventually step up to a ceramic unsprung disk before i boosted....and has buged an inch since i put it in...its a lil tricky to dd but you get the hang of it....
but i loved my kevalr disk when i had it...**** ran great and felt like stock!

Re: (b18sihatch)
im running it in my car .I put it in when i was running my NA k20 setup and didnt think i was going to run as much boost. I havent run it at the track with more than 350whp but will put it to the test soon on 450whp & 318 Ft lbs

Re: (na200whp)
im not looking to track my car however i would like somewhere in the range of 350-450whp, im not sure wat kinda torque that may bring but i would really hate to have to go to a puck clutch, kevlar is gentle on the presure plate and flywheel. also good on the tranny. if i can hit 350-400whp with it with no problems iwould be happy

Hmm 320 tq huh? does it show any sign of slipping? if it is able to hold that much power then i dont see the need of me upgrading to stage 5

Re: (b18sihatch)
I have tuned many cars 400+ with CM3 clutch's.
I run a CM4 in my ITR , it slipped a little the other day with a quick 4th to 5th shift but it's in been in there for over a year.
I'm making way more than it was designed for .

Re: (b18sihatch)
The pressure plate the fx300 came with was just a heavy duty pressure plate, however i had the act xtreme pressure plate from another setup (new) so i got all that together
which leads me to believe if holding capacity is rated at 110% over stock with a hd pp then it should be more holding capacity over 110% being its a xtreme pressure plate.
does that sound right?
also would you guys say these clutches are underrated? 110% over stock and making 450whp and 320tq is much more than 110%

Yes I do. But it all depends on the amount of tq made.

i have the CM stage three and went to tune last week. didnt get one good run in bc every time full bost hit the bitch slipped. I ordered (and just recieved) a stage 4 6-puck sprung Competition clutch that should hold up just fine.
