This is exactly what I didn't want to get into... First off we drive Tilton twin disk 6 pucks on the street on a daily basis and that's even without the hydro throwout bearing, I have yet to drive a car with a stiffer pedal and with a faster engagement... BoostedSi, I know you probably know but the pucked (unsprung) clutches don't have a heavier pedal because of the disk... It's the pressure plate itself and your friend most likely had an Xtreme or Maxx Xtreme plate (the HD isn't too bad at all)... Again we've used these clutches for everything and I still don't understand why people think they're sooo hard to drive... All I'm trying to say is you'll be ABSOLUTELY fine with using a ACT Xt or Maxx Xt pressure plate... To get more clamping power it takes a stiffer spring which intern creates a heavier pedal, there's not really anyway around it... Also you don't need an aftermarket flywheel with either an unsprung or spung disk, it's really up to you... My advice especially with a boosted motor would be to stick with the ACT whatever plate it may be, with a 6-puck disk, and a STOCK flywheel... The extra rotational mass helps keep your rpm up when you launch (turbo motors aren't like NA, load makes power)... It's just me but I also wouldn't use a street disk... Even if the pedal feels heavy at first (Xtreme plate up) you'll get used to it, trust me... Just my $0.02 again...

Or when you get used to it its fine? Does a six puck require a aftermarket flywheel? What kind of power can teh extreme plate and ss disc handle?</TD></TR></TABLE>

it seems to me like you are worrying too damn much about wrong info you have received.
you will be fine with ACT HD 6 puck or if you can spend a little more extreme or even more Max Extreme. considering your hp numbers you are aiming for i personally would go with the extreme pp. Whatever you do... DO NOT get the street disk. Like Adam (kataku2k3) said its smooth and called street for a reason. Also i have also experienced many problems with Clutchmasters and Clutchnet

IMO the ACT HD 6 puck doesnt take that long to get used to. im 5'9" 130 lbs and i can drive my HD 6 puck all day long in rush hour traffic. And to add to all of this why would ACT make a clutch that isnt drivable.... They wouldnt... granted the max extreme pp would be difficult to push in. but i bet even i can get used to it.

SPEC RACING stage 3. The best clutch I've ever driven on, 6 puck sprung disk never gives up. VERY streetable. It's rated to holld 300ft-lbs which is plenty for 350hp.

Good luck!
