clutch kit for turbo
hi i was wondering..what clutch kit would you guys recommend for a d16z6 turbo and i plan to go stage 2..
1)competition stage 2
2)spec stage 2
3)exedy stage 2-plus
1)competition stage 2
2)spec stage 2
3)exedy stage 2-plus

This isn't Gran Toursimo...there is no "stage 2" turbo kit. You need to set an approximate power goal and determine your clutch choice based on that. Since you're running a stock D series, you're limited to ~220-240whp which means you probably won't exceed 200wtq. The Exedy stage 2 is a decent clutch. I ran that on my stock block GSR for 2 years at 315whp 216wtq and it held just fine. I ran it at the track several times...even a few with slicks. I would recommend that clutch for it's streetability factor...i have no experience with the others...

if you plan on running it alot and more importantly preloading it, an organic will not hold as long as a ceramic. just food for thought.

I'm not sure which of the above clutches are organic, but that's a good point. The Exedy is a cerametallic clutch which will last quite a bit longer during hard use
