Default Clutch chatter???

I just got my car back yesterday with the new clutch, ACT. When I go from a dead stop, the car chatters a little bit. I have heard from one person that he heard that ACT's do that. Any opinions?

Wow, out of the 8 people that have looked at this, no one has even commented. You people are losing your touch. And I mean comment with a reason about the clutch, not just some stupid *** post.

If you just got the car back yesterday, it probably still needs to be broken in. Give it time.

My clutchnet still chatters a bit, but only when I engage it a certain way.

Thank you for replying. Is it true what they say about when you break it in, 500/non-highway/non-boosted miles???? Is that really necessary?

It definitely gets better. Might not need 500 miles. Breakin is easy... just drive normal. No launching real high... try to not grind or engage hard. After a week or so you'll notice it is smoother.

Well, we are not exactly here to serve you. Perhaps those 8 people read your post and had no information to add?

I just had my ACT xtreme pp and ss disk and there is no chatter at all. pedal is stiffer but engagement is smooth. If they didnt resurface your flywheel that may be why you have chatter.

You probably didnt get an answer from those people because you did not say what exact ACT clutch you got, the answers to your questions DO depend on what clutch you got.

Yeah uhh d00d rule of thumb when you get a new clutch, always have your flywheel surfaced. The pressure plate and flywheel are supposed to meet like this ||. If you don't have it surfaced your stuff your be meeting like this \| or /|. See whta i'm saying? It causes vibrations, and that what you heard chattering. Surfacing s onlt 20~30 bux, so why waste it?
