Non honda related question, but it's for a good friend so i figured i'd post up for him..

his clutch is slipping on his 02 wrx. he is looking for an aftermarket one, most likely a stage one. it's stock for now, but he plans to do minor bolt ons in the future and wants a clutch with some more bite.
what would guys recommend and do you know a good place to find one?
everywhere i look it's like 500 for a stage one...

I had a 04 wrx with stage 2 utec... 248hp/245tq. i was running a spec stage 2 clutch. I paid $450 for it at http://www.jscspeed.com

awesome..how did it feel? and how long did it last?
once again, this car won't see more than minor bolt on's and sure as hell won't be a stage 2 utec. do you think the stage 2 might be a slight overkill?

 

I would expect you'd get some better info if you posted (or even just searched) a forum like nasioc.com, or almost any other wrx-focused forum.

BTW full-face organic clutches, esp with types with copper/metal in them, tend to be more expensive than multi-puck clutches.

My friend runs an Exedy in his STI and loves it. The clutches for the Suby's seem to be a bit more then for Honda's

ya thats how it seems

he's leaning towards an Action Stage 2 metallic clutch. they seem to get a lot of good reviews from the honda guys, but i'm not sure for suby's.

And i would search other sites, but it's not my car. he asked me and i was on here and bored so i figured i might as well.
