clutch 6 puck ?
What options do I have 4 a daily driver turbo b16 crx. (aprox 250 hp not sure of torque) I dont think I want a 6 puck after doing a search. Since its a daily driver I would like something that does not chatter to much.

my boosted car had a 6 puck sprung hub...i had chatter in first and second...have fun going in reverse also...i liked it...it was kinda like a light switch, either on or off....for 250 hp you don't really need one...girls liked feeling the chatter in their seat though..LOL!
i have the act 6 puck solid hub. Doesnt chatter THAT bad. Its noticable, but only from a dig. Once youre rolling its fine.
People here were saying its stiff and chatters a bunch and its not streetable but thats their opinion. Its not stiff at all feels stock, and i have the heady duty pressure plate as well.
get a 6 pouck. it grabs hard and driveability isnt bad. besides youll get use to it anyuway

Clutchnet has some nice offerings that are not pucked and great for daily drivers that get a little track time. I like the Carbon Pro with a sprung hub and the Yellow PP. It has held over 350 wtq for me no problem.
competition clutch stage 4 6 puck sprung disc. hands down, i love this clutch. pedal isnt too stiff, id say a hair heavier than stock and doesnt chatter once u get use to driving it. it isnt an on off clutch either.

Soudns like you've either never driven on a pucked clutch, or never learned to drive one. I NEVER accidentally peel out or have choppy starts.

i daily drove a 6 puck unsprung with a dual diaghram pressure plate(Action 2MD) for over 2 year...its not that bad once you learn to drive it

when i dump it on 10 lbs it grabs like a ***** ***** and goes!

Im looking for a new clutch too. My builder was going to go with a act 6 puck xtreme clutch, but im not sure if i want 'chatter' on a daily driver. Do you guys think i should go with something else? Im looking at making about 435whp, what would be the quietest/smoothest clutch for me?

Yup. It only chatters sometimes starting in first gear, and it's not bad at all.

okay, when you guys say 'chatter' is that some kind of vibration coming from the clutch pedal, or do you feel it throughout the whole car? What does it sound like? Is it like little smurfs talking in your engine bay, or is it like a crack heads teeth on a cold night? I need more detail.

Depends on the clutch. Chatter on a 6-puch will feel like mini wheel-hop starting in first (starting at a normal pace, like a stop sign). But as stated, you learn to drive with the clutch, and can avoid chatter.
6puck really isn't hardcore. Try twin-disk.

clutch chatter feels like you're stalling the car, when you really aren't. that's prolly the easiest to describe it. But like I've bene saying. it's no where near that rough as people make it sound like.
exactly like ^ said. My 1st gear "chatter" is pretty gone once you get used to the clutch. The only time it gets the shakes is in reverse, expecially reverse out of my driveway which is on a slight incline.
