Clevite 77 or ACL bearings
I read a post a long time ago where i think EARL recommended clevite 77 and ACL bearings.
Can anyone let me know if the clevite tri metals are any good?

If honda would ship there bearings in a small box and not a bag i would use them. Ive gotten 3 bearings oem and they were flattened.
Also honda bearings in canada are near 3 times the price. It would cost me near 200 for a complete set.

There are more than one ways to skin a cat. Honda is the best way to go, but ACL are also a good option. I have used them in many builds and never had a problem. Just make sure the clearences are within spec. Tools usually make that kind of hard as most of us are part timers and don't do this stuff for a living. Hence the lack of tools to build to exact spec. Not an excuse to short cut, just and observation.
OEM is nice, but her in Germany they cost us (calculated in your donation) 552USD :-(
That hurts a lot.... We used both, ACL and Clevite - both worked fine ...
