Default cleaning the insides of a intercooler

i just got a 1g dsm intercooler for my civic and i noticed that the side closest to where the turbo was has oil and some dirt in it .... whats the best way to clean out the whole intercooler.....i searched the site but all the intercooler cleaning post were for the out side ..... the out side was easy....Flat Black

should i just fill it with degreaser adn rinse it ....

is there anything i can damage inside a intercooler with a certin product

I would do it the same way you do a radiator, flush it out, run some soapy water through it with a hose, both ways. Then rinse and let it dry.
