Never done it but couldn't you just clean it like you would a radiator? Just use some degreaser as the cleaning agent? The only problem I see is making sure it's dried out completely before using it.

From what I learned through the years of growing up, gas and water dont mix. I wouldn't do that.

i've used gas and rubbing alcohol, both work great but i dont think you'd want to use a water based cleaner because you'll probally have some water left over in there

99 cents at the drug store. pour the bottle in and shake the hell out of the intercooler and drain. then let it sit overnight. clean and no residue. done and done cheap.

now go do it and quit asking.

I just clean them out in the tub, used some dish soap and let it soak for a bit then rinsed it out real good.

if you use water and wanna be safe, just go for a short cruise with the outlet charge pipe removed from the intercooler and let the turbo blow out the water.

I have a similiar question - my car was sitting for a while and som ebugs made nest in one of my charge pipes (on the rust inside )

what would be a good way to make sure none of the bug bodies were in the IC?
