Default civic ls turbo

since i want more than 200 to the wheels i hear ls's are good to turbo.
i might buy an civic 2dr with an ls swap in it and sell my ex.

anyways i need this car to be reliable since its my daily driver. what turbo kits do you guys recomend that are good and not so expensive.
how much boost can an ls engine hold safely.
and how much power can i expect with a normal set up?

First, don't measure what your engine can hold based on boost. Measure it based on power, timing, heat, and RPM. Typically, around 275whp is where you will start losing longevity of the motor, assuming you don't drive it hard all the time.

Secondly, I would compression check the motor and then piece together a kit, using cheaper but reputable parts and boost 6-7 psi w/ someting good like Hondata and 400+cc injectors. Shoot for 200whp. That's atleast a 13's car and w/ a decent tuner you should be ok for a long time...as long as you don't dog the **** out of it.
