Chipped ECU???????
i have a D16Z6 turbo'd civic 93' and am needing a chipped ecu and was needing to know if i can buy a chipped ecu and just plug and play or dose it have to be tune to the motor ? what should i look for in a Chipped ecu ( my stock one is a P28) ....... just looking for some info ? thanks
You will want a chipped P28 ecu or P28 equivalent ecu that has vtec functions. Most people can provide you with a basemap that will run your car, but it is always highly recommended to get your car tuned.

You can have your stock p28 ecu chipped/socketed with a basemap.
You should make sure you have the proper sized map sensor, injectors & fuel pump for your setup before you get your car tuned

You can use the P28 on a non-vtec motor if you disable all the vtec parameters, so the ecu doesn't look for it.
