Check engine light on....need help!

Check engine light on....need help!
My check engine light came on today and i have no idea what is the cause.
I went over briefly to a mechanic shop and he did a quick diagnostic test on it. The mechanic said that my engine missfired the 1st 2nd and 4th times ("cylinder wall?). He used a lil computer handheld device.
[B]HELP! Any guesses?
My turbo kit arrives this coming week, any suggestions on whether or not I should install the kit? THANKS
