Check it out felllow Sneezer's , I got 250 miles on my new greddy kit and since it was put on Iv'e been getting a sparatic check engine light .. When the kit was first in stalled everything was cool . The kit installation went rather smoothly (besides butchering my radiator fan). The increased performance was cool for a basic kit with only a an upgraded feul pump and slim line fan but after about 30 miles I got a check engine code.. I reset the computer and it was cool. After a few more hot laps around a family friends neighborhood I cooled the turbo down for several minutes, shut the car off and it was fine.. Later started the car warmed it up and went for another joy ride. Everything was working, cooled the car down and shut it off. Later on (night fall getting ready to head to the house, start the car warming it up and that god forsaken check engine light pops backup.. This has been happening on and off now for the last three days.. I dont have a device that can read engine codes. I dont have a front mount but i'm running the blue box, type's bov, walborrow fuel pump, slim radiator fan and turbo timer.. My guages(boost, and air fuel indicate that the car is runniing rich at about 8lbs of boost(factory wastegate setting). Nothing leaks and the car doesnt over heat. I'm getting about 19miles hway, 14.5 city. I can reset the the check engine light and be cool but after a few trips it comes back. I get that light just about once a day .. Am I killing my car .... PLEASE HELP !!!
So you are running the GReddy FCU? It is prolly a code 13 or 14, i can't remeber.(intake air temp sensor), it is a very commen problem w/ the blue box. where is you IAT now? in the charge piping? or before the turbo?

If you want to do a temporary fix, you can disable the backup power wire that goes to the ecu. That way, the ecu gets reset everytime you turn off your car. It's a common mod for 5th gen ludes.

The check engine light isn't much of a concern the fact that it goes on and what is causing it is. Is this a problem inherent with all Greddy turbo kits???? Or has anyone seen/experienced this before and had a fix or know what needs ot be done.
He is getting a Hondata Middle next year and upgrading his injectors from 310's to 440's, the FCU from Greddy is only a temp patch until he gets the Front mount, bigger injectors and Hondata.
Anyone else??

Common Greddy codes are:
13- Barometric pressure< reset the ECU and live with it.> Its inside the ECU
14- IAC Idle control valve. Either it works correctly or not. Located next to the TPS
45- Air fuel. Either too lean or too rich.
71-74- misfire codes. Personally I think its the injectors. They don't fit inside the hole. If they fit inside the hole (like stock) I think the misfire codes would go away. Regular 310's from RC don't fit either. I think they are seeping just enough to trip the ECU into the midfire code.
Either way, identify your codes then reset the ECU to clear them. Check your sparkplugs regularly to make sure nothing is funny inside the engine.
MugenBB6: Can you explain how to make the backup reset after each start?
SMC, 450cc, OEM resistor box, BTM, slated for this spring. Hopefully this will end my series of CEL for good.

if this post wasn't calling me .... This is where your headaches will start. Im 99.99% sure you getting CEL (Check Engine Light) # 13.
First thing, YOU MUST GET THE CODE!! So you know exactly what's going on!!
I forgot the link, but you better find a paperclip and make it into a "U" shape.
