Default Cheap Nology wires worth it? Just buy NGKs?

My next door neighbor was going to sell me a set of nology wires for 70 bucks. Should I grab them or just stick to NGKs? The nologys are used. I might be able to get them for free even.

I used ngk's one time (the blue ones) and when I was changing plugs, the boot got stuck in the hole!!! **** that took me while to pull it out but I don't think I would use the ngk's. I have seen a lot of people who love the nology, but I'm using stock once again! hehe

so are the nologys good product but over priced? Thats what I was getting at. Figure if the Nologys were 50 bucks and the ngks were 50 bucks; which would you rather have? Brand new though, w/o any discounts 150+ for nologys arent worth it from what Ive read.

the Nology site shows a lot of interesting diagrams/videos on how much more spark is made......I wonder how much of it is true.

a big spark doesnt mean a better spark, however, if the spark can NOW jump a bigger gap, yah, its better.

now someone from nology has to prove this to me, AND show me big power gains that are WORTH 150-300 bucks

Thats what I wanted to hear; I just searched the archives and a lot of people arent seeming to like them....

The most positive thing I saw was if your turbo'ed or making more then 240whp which I will be with the motor these are going on so who knows...maybe they will work out

If not anyone wanna buy them?

I believe you got to change the kind of plugs you use if you go with the nology wires. Something bout resistors or something.

R U talking about the "Hotwires" ? Each wire has a grounding strap.

For turbo app, I wouldn't bother with OEM. Everything runs hotter in a turbo app, including the wires. At the very least the Nology Hotwires R thicker & will last longer.

I would like to know why you say there the best? I have read hundreds of articles on ignition systems and I am just going to have to disagree

Shure I fell a bet is in order
What info do you have to back it up?
Do you have a spark generator. We use one at my shop, the one nolgy and msd uses for there displays. You got one?
Edit: Edit: You dont have a problem with compairing stock SOHC non-Vtec wires with some NGK blue's do you? I will bet on this! We can do brand new or used you pick.

EDIT: So no bet than Ha?? Too Bad

haha, yeah i used to play tricks on ppl with that thing....carbon fiber DOES conduct electricty

and those things are propaganda crap

i'm at most of the races, and know a lot of the faster ppl....and yes, a LOT of them do run OE wires. I also am around 500+whp street cars a lot...and most of them are running OE wires as well.

Face it, if spoon can come out with some wires that look just like the nology, then what does that say? exactly...its good, but im not sure how good. b4 i bought my set of wires for my sohc i did some research. this is what i came upw ith:

1)people had ignition problems that prevented the car from running
2)it made no power for the n/a cars
3)works great on boosted cars

i got my wires used too, and i think i felt a diff. it felt like the car was a lil quicker with accleration. i had no complants, when i sold the sohc...gave the wire the wires too.
