Default chatter in cylinder head

i have a b18b1 with crower 402t cams, crower dual valve springs and titanium retainers, ferrea 1mm oversized valves, and ferrea valve locks. it is making a lot of noise. i have done a compression test and a leak down test and still cannot find anything. this weekend i replaced the rockers and retorqued the head studs and cam cap bolts. i also reset my adjustable cam gears, and readjusted the valves. it also has a greddy high tension forced induction timing belt.

i dont think that would be it, its possible, but it didnt do it with the stock head that was originally on it, i dont see how it could just start out of the blue. im not ruling it out though. i also run the car with the valve cover off with a stethiscope(if thats how you spell it), and didnt see anything out of the ordinary.

Sounds to me like you are just describing the normal sound of titanium retainers. I have them and between that and my 880 injectors there is a lot of chatter under the hood.

Don't know you might want to get a video of it and post that for further analysis.

Ti retainers should not make any more noise than stockers unless the rockers are hitting them.It make be one or more "lost motion assemblies".Performance cams can sometimes be a little noisier than stock ones because of the ramp design.

b18b has no lost motion assemblies, so could be noisy cams or something else. how are you setting valve lash?

Its just teh way it is bro. just double check your valve lash clearences. other then that those sprins and cam combiunation are like that. i ran the same setup last yera and was noisy. just have to live with it
