Make sure you use a tender not a trickle. I brought a battery back with a trickle and it died two weeks later.

Your charger must have an ouput voltage of 15.5-16 volts to successfully revive a dry cell battery.

Take it to Advance Auto or Autozone they have the special chargers to revive that type of battery, you are not supposed to use a standard 12 volt battery charger for those types of batteries.

Also if it is an Optima it probably is a goner LOL...

My Optima went dead and I put a Battery Tender on it and it came back. Though I was lucky.

my Optima was not so lucky. could not bring back to life so just trashed it. I guess the Gel dried up or something they explained to me.
