Default Ceramic coated pistons?

Who here has actual experience w/ ceramic coated pistons? Does the ceramic burn off?

ceramic does not burn. Probably not a bad idea, but there are plenty of people making power without it. If it helps, the S2000 comes stock with ceramic coated pistons.

Swain Tech's gold piston top coatings are actually bonded to the metals. So there's no chance of it "burning" off. I don't know about the others though...

Anyone have experience with Swain coatings? I'm interested in the gold coatings for pistons. Do you think with the coating, that a stock block can handle 10-12psi?
