Is a CEL Code 63 (secondary o2) bad?
If, on an OBD2 car, you remove the secondary o2 sensor (so that you can stick a wideband o2 sensor in there, for example), does the engine go into limp mode? Is there anything bad about removing that sensor temporarily for tuning purposes?
If not, then great, becuase i'm considering using that bung for wideband o2 tuning -- I'd prefer not to get a new bung installed on other peoples' cars, and using a tail-pipe probe is both a PITA and a cop magnet
I know that sticking the wideband after the cat isn't ideal, BUT a lot of dyno shops do that without any problems, and i'll do a before/after comparison to figure out exactly how the air/fuel mixture changes based on sensor placement.
