CEL 45 keeps haunting me!

CEL 45 keeps haunting me!
I keep throwing a #45 (too rich / too lean). All fuel management is stock except for Greddy Blue Box (have greddy kit). I thought it was a loose wire, so I went back and soldered all connections, but it still comes back. It happens at random times too - I could be just driving along, boost/ no boost, and that stinking thing keeps haunting me!
I've had the kit for about two months now, and at first, there were no CELs, now it seems to be happening regularly.
Anyone have this problem or suggestions?
Thanks

Your ECU only knows how lean/rich its running using feedback from the O2 sensor.
So why are you getting the code, because a) your O2 is f'ed up OR b) your actually running too lean/rich.
What you should realize is that the ECU has something called Long Term & Short Term Fuel Trim. Its adjusts these values based on O2 feedback. If your O2 is telling the ECU its running rich, the ECU will in turn start to lean out the a/f mixture using the STFT parameter. This value can range from +/- 20%, same for the Long Term. As the O2 starts to tell the ECU things are fine, the LTFT will begin to shift so as to bring the STFT value back towards 0%. The LTFT value is stored when you turn your car off....the STFT value is always reset. So basically, the ECU has what is called 'adaptive learning' so as to maintain a healthy engine, thus healthy emmisions and when the fuel trim value gets to + or -20%, it will set this code.
HTH.

ok - anyone else with input or troubleshooting advice?
I was thinking that my o2 sensor can't be causing it cause my af gauge still functions (directly reading the o2 senor).

change out your plugs, reset the ecu and try again...
if worst, swap your O2 sensor from the cat to the DP and see if that helps

What's your fuel setup? Just the GReddy box, no pump or anything? It's most likely the blue box making you run rich and so you're throwing codes. Try AFC hack.

right: no fuel management mods except blue box. when things warm up a bit outside i'll try switching sensors. I've already tried new plugs, ecu reset, etc.
If that doesn't work, i might try new blue box, or afc
I hate this!!
