catchcan or breather filter....

Default catchcan or breather filter....

for turbo cars, which is better to use? a catchcan? or just a breather filter? could i just put a hose on it and route it straight down to the ground?

its times like this that i wish the archive-search worked we've had extensive discussions on this in the past.

basically, if i remember correctly from those threads, your best bet is a closed-system since the PCV system require a vacuum to operate properly. so in otherwords, a catch can would be best.

There's a difference between the PCV valve and where most people place that breather filter. I've been enquiring whether or not that place where most people place a breather fliter needs to run in vaccum or not. I know that the PCV valve needs to so you won't need a filter on here, but how bout the nipple that usually connects to the intake piping before the throttle body?
