on 9lbs you should be fine with the stock system. i ran it on my old d series for a long time. maybe you're black box is bad and needs replaced.. or you could book up a catch can from the black box and maybe vent the valve cover..

i kno there are plenty of write ups. almost like there are too many. too many ppl go bak and forth on different things. i jus wanna kno if i remove the black box, what size fitting will i need? ive read somewhere that you can use a 3/8" brass fitting. but ive also heard something about having to plug the hole for the black box? so im a little confused and need a straight up answer as soon as possible...

Remove the black box. clean it and what not. make sure its not leaking do to being old or the o-ring around it isnt damaged. put black box back on. run a breather line from the black box to a catch can. and 2 off the valve cover if you still have problems.

so ur saying remove the actual pcv valve and just replace it with a hose to run to my catch can? i also read i can tee into that line from the pcv box with a line from the vakve cover to make a "sealed circuit" is this a good idea. and should i be getting a can with a filter on to[ or does that not matter?

in the faq's there are like 4 threads strictly related to catch cans, and many others that arent listed. i am not locking because i have to ask a question, if oil is really puking from the black box, how mechanically sound is the engine? (im asking what the condition of the rings are) if the rings are toast, a catch can will just give you a place for the oil to go, not fix why it is getting there in the first place.

hmm Im having the same problem using the black box as a vent. Oil still leaking on a just built motor. Intermittent smoking from the exhaust as well. Thinking the smoking is related to Turbo seals which is also brand new from Precision.

Heres a link for a set up that works perfectly for me I run a supercharged gsr at 11+ psi and was having issues with my stock set up. It still uses the black box but it gets modified. I attached a pic of how to modify it and attach the hoses .Otherwise you can just send them your stock black box and they can modify it for you and send it back with the kit .I really like this set up it has pretty much eliminated the smoke in my exhaust under hard acceleration . Its also a maintenance free set up http://www.theoldone.com/components/breather/

Well I just realized you said you have a " d " 16 .I did not see that and dont think the kit I posted will work for the d series but you could however call Larry at Endyn and ask what he recommends sorry for not reading the post properly the first time .But for any of you b series guys this kit works well for me .
