Default Catch can setup - will this be okay?

Hey guys, I just want to know if the following setup will be okay. My engine is a D16Y8. (Please see pic below).

From the picture, I would replace the PCV valve on the back of the block with a simple nipple, and run a hose from that nipple to the catch can.

Then I would run a hose from the valve cover breather hole and connect it to the other hose (see pic) with a fitting, then run it to the catch can.

Lastly, I will be moving the PCV valve to the outlet on the catch can to prevent pressurizing the catch can when under boost.......and from the PCV valve would be a hose to the intake manifold like normal.

Will this setup work okay?

Please advise, thanks guys.

that will NOT be ok, because under boost you will have no crankcase ventilation

So what do you recommend I change from the setup above?

Thanks.

You have 2 choices. Vent the catch can to the atmosphere or run a line from the PCV valve to the intake pipe AHEAD of the turbo.

Okay, will this work then? (see picture below):

Since the catch can has only 2 outlets I would connect the hoses with a fitting and run it to the catch can. Then I'll hook a hose from the second outlet of the catch can to the pre-turbo intake pipe.

are you in cali that you need to be running your catch can to the intake manifold? trying to pass some sort of emissions issue. If at all possible you do NOT want it to the intake manifold. your going to pour oil into your turbo or intake and kill the octane rating of the fuel your using and it just makes a freakin mess. how much boost do you plan on running? i know most hondas push out alot of oil, i know i fill my catch can on a 1/4 mile pass thats abotu a quart of oil down your intake manifold

No I live in Toronto Canada. Emissions is not a big deal (only sniffer test).

I currently have been running 5lbs of boost for over a year without a catch can. Stock pcv setup and a breather on the valve cover.

So is the second setup i posted okay?

Why is it "yucky" for my compressor wheel and intake charge?
What does open vent mean?

Good point

Thats why I will try and T it off as close to the catch can as possible.

I will be using this Y fitting:

They do have Y fittings I believe, while some may argue and say the vacuum will just pull both sources, I'm **** like that and don't like the thought of not getting 100% out of my setup.

Well, the vacuum would pull both sources anyway. If my catch can had 3 nipples I would have hooked both hoses to each nipple on the catch can, and the 3rd nipple would be used for the hose that goes to the preturbo intake pipe).

I'm only doing this because my catch can has only 2 nipples.

One more thing I forgot to ask.

What do I do with the hole in the intake manifold where the hose used to be? Do i plug it?

if you're teeing two lines together, i'd use a check valve pre tee. also, it'd be good to expand post tee. ie-1/4" hose and 1/4" hose go into tee and flow to 1/2" hose. volume>pressure
