Catch Can Question ?>
im looking into getting a catch can for my turbo civic w/b16.. . Im just wondering weather i should get a catch can or one of the breather cans with the filer on it ? ? ? suggestions
i read once on some website (that i cant find again) somthing about the regular catch cans being better then the ones w/breather filter . . ? ? ?
Also anyone using a catch can, suggest what company's make good ones?

Re: Catch Can Question ?>
I got mine from Greddy a couple days ago. They make two different size fittings. Either a 9mm or 12mm. Don't be a dumbass like me and get the 12mm fittings. You will be buying hose adapters and zip tieing **** all over the place. 9mm is more than enough for a DD. I jsut ran a breather filter off of my valve cover and ran the vaccuum line to my manifold.
After I understand the simplicity of a catch-can I'm surprised cars don't come with them stock from the factory.
Look at it this way. If you have ever smoked "tabacco" out of a "tabacco" pipe you can see the amount of resin that builds up over time. That's the crap you are sending back into your engine. Why recycle that bullshit if you can dump it out and keep your engine clean. Well at least that's the way I see it in my head

Re: Catch Can Question ?>
in the faq's there are atlease 5 threads that i know of devoted to catch cans.
and there isnt anything wrong with a drainback especially if your can cant hold the ammount of oil it is passing on a run.
why do all the fast guys use drainbacks?
im not arguing, our cars get oil changed every couple passes.
