Cast top mount questions

What are the power ratings on these?
Junk?
Restrictive?
Thanks for any input.

Re: Cast top mount questions
one and made 400whp on a 57 trim garrett turbo. good manifold. be sure you get a trbo with a .60a/r compressor for best fitment. You can also get a clocking flange to make the turbo sit straight for better fitment

GT3251B is what I got from Shodan.
I removed a/c and p/s so should fit better?
It's replacing my tubular setup in my 92 gsr.
Was looking at this too:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/CXRacing-Hon...60858277809%26
Has a matching down pipe, seems like a good deal.
I have to use a 2.5" to 3" v band adapter though so gotta see if that will work or not.

SO you keep a nice rag in the car on humid days if the weather changes while you're out for the day... yeah.. real man **** there, looking like a highschool kid with a towel in his hand wiping every 5 minutes.
I'm not saying there's anything wrong with no A/C, but all the rest...go ahead and DO YOU.

Re: Cast top mount questions
I never had fogging issues unless it was a warm humid night and even then it was rare. The civic won't have ac but I have a heat only vent for it.... I'll also be keeping the wipers lol
Oh Mac, I need to talk to you about the turbo dilemma, I got confirmation that the 2871/3071 wheels are internally threaded, the 2835 wheel is as well (same thing basically) but all the info I can find says the 2835 wheel has a smaller hub height, only about 1mm or so

Re: Cast top mount questions
I have one of these sitting on my desk that a customer shipped to us to have a downpipe made. The one thing I'd be concerned about here is the wastegate port. For whatever reason it is oblong and is larger than the OD of the wg fire ring. This could be a 1 manifold isolated, problem from this one particular ebay seller (I dont know which one it was)...but if you look at the photos of the wg port on any given auction, it isnt round.
Reference pic taken for our customer of our V2 next to the one that was delivered o us.

Re: Cast top mount questions
^^That would turn me off to buying one. Cast logs aren't very expensive...maybe toss a few more bucks into the mix and get something better. You can find reasonbly priced InlinePro SS manifolds from time to time in the Marketplace for ~$300.
If you're set on buying a cast manifold, its hard to pass this one by: http://www.go-autoworks-store.com/gocairbsedot.html . Its very inexpensive, looks to be made well and is more than enough for your goals. It may not be a topmount, but does that really make any difference?
**Just realized this last manifold requires a 5-bolt exhaust housing...I dont know which housing came with your GT32521b, but I would assume its a 4 bolt. Something to be mindful of when looking at various manifolds

Re: Cast top mount questions
The one on the right from Greg also looks not only oblong, but also looks like there's exhaust turbulence right at the fore-front. I'd avoid it at all costs.

If setting up to configure for for an A/C setup, then a 5 bolt/B cover turbo is needed for appropriate clearance. If its non a/c with a passenger side exit downpipe then you can use whatever T3 turbine outlet you want.

Re: Cast top mount questions
Probably too big for a 38mm fire ring but I bet it would fit that goofy wastegate you had to run on that one inline pro mani

Re: Cast top mount questions
He spa is defiantly better quality than these knock offs. Wastegate placement is perfect but that oblong opening isn't very good on that knock off unit. You don't need a clocking flange for a turbo to fit just fits better. You can run an E cover .60 and still retain ac and ps. It will fit an s cover without a clocking flange but not with one
