car wont stop boosting?
96dx, y8 IM, greddy kit. there is no nipple for vacuum on the turbo. and i have a MBC hooked up that I KNOW WORKS. never stops boosting. tried the controller both ways.. switched the vacuum source.
then we ran open waste gate actuator... figured it would run the spring. i let off when it didnt stop by .75 bar....... and that = about 11psi... anybody have any guesses?

anyway to test if it is stuck closed other than removing the turbo... leki take the actuator arm loose or something? thanks alot for the help

open actuator? it still has to have a boost reference going to it to run off the spring preset.

ok..thats what i thought too.... which end of the MBC is supposed to lead to the acuator.. and where do you recomend going for vacuum source? officially so i can try this. i had it T'd in with the bov, and run from the cruise control nipple on the back of the intake manifold. had the bottom(straight under spring) running from vacuum source... the middle running to the acuator...

open actuator...or solid line to the manifold?

Hook a vacuum line from the WG actuator to a vacuum source on the motor somewhere. Does it run 5.5 psi? If so, your wastegate is working fine.
Next, reinstall the boost controller, and open it completely. You should get zero restriction and run 5.5 psi.
After that, begin tightening the boost controller until you impose a restriction on the pressure going to the wastegate actuator. Adjust this until your boost is set where you want it.

ok... hooked a line from actuator to IM... runs exactly .4bar... which i think is closer to 5.8psi....close enough. now... which way does the MBC go? which side goes to the actuator, which goes to the IM. thanks for all of the help guys.
Usally depending on what mbc you use, The nipple on the bottom goes to the vacuum source and the nipple on the side goes to the wastegate. This is how it works on the turboxs mbc. http://www.turboxs.com look in there FAQ for hooking one up.
yea..... what type of clamps do you all use. i keep blowing off the pipe from the turbo bc it was cut.. there is no lip on it anymore.. regular clamps cant get tight enough to hold it.. they end up stripping.
anybody know where i can buy the clamps that have a nut and bolt ( like stock clamp at TB) ? the kind that have a nut/bolt instead of screw...
nm, a friend gave me this link!! http://www.hosetechniques.com/
