Default car is sitting?

My car has been sitting for about 3 months now (few sprints to the store here and there) since it's no longer my main transporter. I was just going to sell it and move on but lately i've really been thinking about just going forth and seeing how far i can take the car plus it will be a project for my father and I.
anyway i'm not sure if i should just yank this engine and build this block (b16) or leave it be and pick up another block and start from there (b18), i guess the deciding factor is money....anyways looking for idea's peoples oppinions on block choice, etc....what kind of power levels are people seeing with stock sleeves before failure (remember i've put 15k miles on this car in the past 3 years and about 75 miles in the past 6 months)...

A car sitting around for a while should be ok....just check al fluids and let it warm up thoroughly and it should be ok...

15k miles is not a lot of miles! Time to take it to the next level!
