Car shuts down everytime I go and do a complete stop>>
Okay, I just did my pistons and rods done and now every time I start going (accelerating) and doing a complete stop my car would die. The needle just drops fast down to close to the 0 mark and then it dies and I have to restart. I'm running 440cc injectors afc hack in my LS integra. Car was running fine before installing the pistons and rods. Any info would help a lot.
i had the same problem when i put in my new pistons and valve train. all i did was messed with my throttle cable(that nut on the intake mani) and it idles smooth at 750 rpm
can it be the timing and having some old plugs and wires? My installer told me if I want my motor to last I can to drive under 3K rpm and no more than 60 for about 1000miles.

thats the thing, before isntalling interals everything was fine and now this. I thought it could be my air/fuel mixture so I lean it out to around -37 from 1-3K rpm and it seems to work for now. I'm just afraid it will happen again bc I can see the needle still dropping real close to 0 and wanting to die out on me. Just wanted to see if anyone knew if that was normal or the caused
nope. its fine while idling but once I try to do complete stop (ie from stop lite to stop lite) it some times die.

Once you installed pistons and rods in the motor, you have a completely different motor and every motor is different.
