Default car runs crappy while in open loop

ive had this problem on 2 cars.

car starts up cold, runs like crap until it gets warmed up all the way. hesitates, putts, sputters sometimes. WOT is fine of course.

I had closed loop disabled, and it ran crappy all the time, then I enabled it and it runs crappy til its warmed up. I monitored the AFR with an innovate and sometimes the AFR spikes up to 17:1 randomly and lean misfires.

1st instance was on a 92 hatch Si, stock with 14b setup (version 1.66 uberdata). Now it does it on my 91 crx Si gsr (obd1) with SC61 turbo with different types of fuel management. (uberdata 1.65repack3, 1.66 and now with hondata s300).

Im guessing it has something to do with a sensor, because the AFR is depending on the sensors while in open loop. While in closed loop, the o2 sensor seems to be doing its job.

Why are you using 2.5 year old versions of uberdata? Why havent you simply looked for the ECT/IAT corrections and used them? Why do people bother upgrading features if people are too lazy to look for them?

i heard 1.66 was the best. i dont use it anymore either, i have hondata. i didnt "Simply look at the ECT/IAT corrections" because I dont know how and if i did, I probably wouldnt be asking.
