Default car not making power?

Got my car tuned today and im having some problem. Basicly my turbo is losing breath up top when its not suppose to because its a pretty big turbo. What would possibly be the cause of that? Its also not making the power its suppose to, @ 10psi it was at 240hp on a dynojet.

Gsr w/ piston and rods
skunk2 IM
topmount manifold
sc61
44mm tial wastegate
greddy bov
880cc injector
walbro255 pump

Leakdown and compression test is good.

what excatly do you mean by "losing breath up top?"

are you losing boost up top?
are you never reaching full boost?
slow spool up?

a sc61 can flow a H22a just fine so it shouldn't be restricting up top

do you have a picture of the dyno?

what EMS did you tune on?

basically need some more information to be helpful so list everything you can think of that might help.

boost controller? spring size in the wastegate? yadda yadda

Are you sure vtec in engaging. That may be why your losing power up top.

boost is holding and its reaching full boost. Its tuned on s300 and even when its ran on just wastegate spring towards redline the power start to fall off dramaticly. I dont have a dyno sheet right now but i'll try to see if i can get it.

that turbo is not run n outta breath. from the dyno graph, it looks like u might have some ignition problems. r u using a honda OEM distributor or one of those relica aftermarket ones. if u r that might be your problem. also, how do u have ur dump tube routed? if the exhuats gasses r dump n in the engine bay, around the area of the turbo inlet, that could also be your problem.

at 10 psi, u should be making around 270-300whp

Check to see if vtec is engaging. How rich is the car? It's possible that tuner left the car really rich on top. The sc-61 will make 550hp and shouldnt run out of breath like that.

i would check into vtec. would be nice to see the rpms, and where its dropping off. not just mph.

i had a similar problem with my car fixed vtec and picked up around 180whp. lol mostly due to boost creep but whatever i engaged vtec and next pull 180whp more

That graph was at 15psi or so... It definitely should make way more power then that. I haven't check to see if vtec is engaging but i'll check that. Im running msd 6al with blaster coil... I was having a ignition problem but would that cause the graph to look like that? The ignition was braking up on the dyno on higher boost. And my afr was good... it was around 11.8-12.2 i believe.

yes ignition breakup would cause the graph to look like that. i agree with boostedk20. check your wastegate and make sure you have a dump away from the compressor cover.

we tried to put a stock ignition on and it was still the same... the dumptube is away from the compressor cover... its by the exhaust cover

then change the spark plugs (gap em to around 26), change ignition wires, and try another distributor. it def. looks like ignition problems. check all ur ground wires too.

i don't think a/f would cause a breakup like that. even something in the high 10s would rev clean. do you have msd? if you've run out of options i suggest you look to the bottom end. if there's something wrong with it you could have a break up like that.

afr was around 11.8 or 11.9. Compression test 180 all across and leakdown was 2-3% all across also

2.5 do to 3inch, no cat. turbonetics mbc... but even off the wastegate it was like that. Its definitely not the tuning because i threw on my old tune and injectors and its still doin that

try gapping the plugs tighter. looks perhaps like an ignition thing and not fuel related.

also, if your dp has a flex section, checck and see that it hasnt collapsed. ive seen it happen before and it will kill all power

What do your IAT's look like on the dyno..........check for a boost leak? I had a similar thing happen to me recently..........it held boost (19psi) fine but the IAT's were kinda high and it just wasn't as strong as it should be...................turbo was big enough to push 19psi even though the boost leak was pretty big but it was over spooling big time.....blowing hot air.......just a thought

try gapping it tighter than 28. I've had to gap plenty of cars tighter than that on power levels that you should be hitting.
