Default car dies out after i pumped gas (help)2000si

This is the second time it happened to me.Right after i pump gas into my car ,then try to start it ,the idle is real bad,it just hesitates, trying to go up to normal idle but it doesnt, then it dies out.So i try to start it ,it wont. Then i hit the gas halfway down and crank it and it goes, check engine light pops on,but i half to be on the throttle ,if i let off it would die,so i leave it on throttle for about 20 seconds, turned the car off then on again.Check engine light gone,Then it seems normal, but i know something is up. If someone have this problem before or have an idea what could be wrong please help me out. Oh, my car is a 2000 si ,b16,18g turbo kit ,550 injectors,255 walbro,p06 ecu, tuned with uberdata.Im thinking its a fuel issue(pressure).Maybe it has something to do with me opening my gas lid.Cuz its both times right after i pump gas

Used to happen to me as well, when you are done filling the gas, make sure the cap is closed to the 3 clicks, turn the key to ACC and let the fuel fully prime, wait for the CEL light to go off, and then start the car.

disconnect the evap purge solenoid.

running obd2 cars with an obd1 ecu, the evap purge solenoid causes issues after pumping the car up with gas.

this will fix your problem.

its usually a black box located on or around the fuel rail/intake manifold

i cant find a pic, but located your black canister on your firewall near the battery... trace the rubber hose coming from it to a black sensor on your IM..
the evap purge also is made by denso

just disconnect the clip, and then tri it out.

when you realize how much this helps, you can disconnect the vacuum hose going to the IM and cap it off

Wouldn't using the AEM EMS cause the same issue as it does not control the EVAP functionality?

The EMS doesn't actuate that wire at all unless it's disabled, I've had 0 problems with the 99-00 cars and the 1050 box. My guess is that the OBD1 ECU is doing something else on that wire, but I'm too lazy to cross reference the diagrams or track down a conversion harness.

Your rigt, the OBD1 ECU's have to be doing something funky on that pin. Simply de-activating the system doesnt seem to cause any problems - ie pulling the plug on the solenoid, or running an aftermarket "race" ems like AEM EMS, never any problems.

Ok i unplugged it.But it was on my fuel rail,it does say denso. Its right in the middle od my fuel rail right above one of the injectors, its not on the intake manifold.Does that sound right, cuz i ran the hose from the canister and it lead me there. Can someone confirm that i unplugged the right one. Thanks
