Car cuts out WTF???
I need help H-T. I am having trouble keeping my turboed B16 running. I am getting all the nessecities for combustion so what gives. I was having problems just getting it started so I pulled the spark plugs and they were wet..too much fuel. So I lowered the pressure on my regulator but no sucess. Switched back to the stock regulator and it fired up but have to idle it at 1500rpm, any more or less and it dies. I am running 550 injectors and 255 fuel pump, am I getting too much fuel?? any help would be greatly appreciated. I have searched all over H-T.. before anyone else bring it up. Thanks

u need to create a base map for your set up and hook up your wideband if you have one...you should get the car to run decent on your base map at idle if everything is working properly...
from there fine tune your afr and adjust your injector sizing accordingly watching ur Wideband...but it seems like your putting way to much fuel in...so play with your overall fuel trim and injector sizing...be sure that your map sensor is working properly as well...
I definately dont reccomend doing anything without a wideband...

Re: Car cuts out WTF??? (ttracing03)
the company that hook-up my hondata had already put in a base map according to the parts I was running. I do not have wideband though, would this make a BIG difference? What If I went down to 440 injectors??? Could I get the Hondata set up for 440's but use the 550's I already have, or is this a NOOB idea? Thanks for the post! Oh..I did change spark plugs by the way.

unfortunately from my experience the base maps many people get do not work unless they are from a reputable TUNER. I had to barrow a chip from a friend cause my "base map for my 550cc injectors/b18c" wouldnt even start the car (way too rich). Good luck, and be sure you dont dump a bunch of fuel into your cylinders screwing around with the so called base map.
