The moroso unit is 6" high from the tallest point. I cant tell for sure but it looks like the canton is 4.25" at its shortest point.... Wat about toward the back where it angles down a good bit since that'll be the lowest point?
Pretty steep price for a oil pan IMO
* EDIT*
I just read the info on the site
says stock depth

Where the oil pan seal is, the motor is tilted forward a bit. As for the 1/2" NPT bung - its not for turbo oil return. It says for oil temp sensor, which is fairly obvious since its located on the back of the motor.

I guess that you have that problem or know some one that does. Other than that I like the Moroso pan.

No feedback on this specific pan but Canton has been doing it right for many years in domestic applications. So lets hope that is something they plan to continue in the sport compact market.

IMO the Moroso pans are junk because i know im not the only person to have leaking problems. When i first installed the pan it leaked from the oil temp and oil return ports but i fixed that and then i noticed after the first drive for 10-15 min. it was leaking all around the pan...i tightened it down in the right steps and correct torque specs so i took it back off and checked to see if it was warped and it wasnt so i tried hondabond and then rtv sealant with no luck. I wish i wouldve just took the extra time to modify the oem pan.

Well as you know now, you can't blame the NPT plug for leaking. That stuff should always be checked.
But I just don't see how it can not seal lol Mine have never given me any issues at all.
It will be interesting to see if Milodin follows Canton into making pans for us.

yea i never had a leaky problem with a moroso...check the gasket your useing and see how its suppose to be installed. i used a silicon napa gasket never had any issues its been on 2 motors. Also a HUGE NONO no hondabond or gasket sealer.
mainly its proper cleaning of surfaces,placement of the gaskets, bolt sequence, and torque to spec...and thats big if you dont torque in sequence its going to leak....

i run a moroso with no leaking issues at all. in my experience, the torque specs and sequence dont mean **** for honda oil pans. i judge by feel the amount of torque everytime. i also am a tech for a honda dealer, and its not just moroso, honda oil pans in general are prone to leaks. just my $.02
