Can't put a filter on my turbo, Help!
There's no way I can put a filter on my turbo there's not room for it. Is there anything I can put over the inlet? I thought about hacking up a pair of my womans pantihose but I thought I check with you guys before I do that.

remove that p.o.s. fan that's in the way and if necessary, make a switch to the other fan. works great for me

home depot is the place.Any imaginable project could be completed by a trip to home depot.i just bought a 90 degree elbow and attached my filter to and then to my turbo. It kinda acts like a cai now because the filter sits rite behind the grill.but my inlet is on the opposite side (drivers side) so it made mine easier.

MiraiZ - here's how I put my Filter on my F-max turbo....
Sort of a filter on a stick... Piping's about 8" long and the little "ledge" on the block no longer exists thanks to a ziz wheel

It's an INTAKE, non-pressure air line. If it gets hot enough to melt or damage a dryer hose you are pretty much screwed anyways.

I did the EXACT same thing, except I used some flexible exhaust tubing. This will still allow you to bend around the tight places just like a dryer hose, but it will withstand the heat and won't collapse under pressure. I picked it up from Pep Boys for like $8.

why dont you make a custom setup out of the same piping that you made the tubo piping out of.

The problem is that there is no room at all. Radiator fan is in front of it and my battery is 6 inhces from the inlet. I need to put some kind of screen on the inlet of the turbo.

Don't put a screen on the turbo! It will destroy the compressor blades and housing!

You probably can't see it but the compressor blades are ALL chipped and destroyed, the inside of the housing is jacked too.. from when little rocks decided to take a trip through the combustion cycle...
If I were you, I would relocate my battery to the trunk. The relocation kits are about $30 and include the battery case and the huge 1gauge wire. Then you can install a proper air filter, add to the handling of your car (fix the front weight bias), and have a nice looking engine bay.

I second the battery to the trunk. If you haven't balanced the car w/ the turbo in, the piping, turbo and IC should offset the weight of battery to the back. Very halfass tho. Just keep it low, towards the middle of the car and mebbe in front of the rear axle.

Go to your muffler shop and have them make a custom pipe. That's what I did and the cost was $30.00. Looks good and works great!
