I have a problem I cant get the boost to go past .9 bar whats going on I even pulled the vacuum hose off the wg (cheap delta) and that was when I had .9 bar I checked all my piping no leaks what could be wrong???? .9bar at 9000 rpm in 3rd somethings wrong. my setup is drag kit with gt61s and built b16

Check your wastegate gasket or it could be your BOV, which one do you have?

 

I've checked the gasket already nothings leaking the only suspected leak is the bov that was my conclusion also I have a hks ss bov

 

well borrowed buddys bov and still same problem. could it be that the wastegate is getting opened up by exhaust back pressure???? but I also ran the waste gate with boost source on top and left the side unplugged and still .9bar. I remembered that wit my first turbo my motor blew up because this hose on the side of the waste gate popped off in the middle of a run and the boost went over 20# on stock b18. come on please help me I've been fukcing with this pos for 5 days now

 

did u put a gasket between ur manifold and wastegate? if u did yank that bitch, i did it to mine and gained back a lost 25HP, does it have a firering in the bottom like the tial does? If the fire ring is installed upside down or not at all it's letting exhaust gas get out around the wastegate. If you only have a .9 bar spring and no boost controller u can't really go past .9 bar can you?

 

without the vaccum line attached to the wastegate the wastegate should stay closed no matter what. so it seems if you only get .9 bar witht the line off that maybe you wastegate is leaking.
