can a type R handle boost
i just denated a b16a all i have left is the type R. haw much boost? i have a drag 3 kit with a aem ems and 550 injectors.
im sure you can get away with 10-12 psi reliably considering its tuned well and your not a dumbass when it comes to taking care of your car... all depends on the tune, 8psi no problem

i was totally joking , i guess its not as funny to a newbie. Inside joke.
Mine was boosted on the stock motor i made 300whp on8psi with minimal tuning , and 5very very simple set up . i then started running 11psi everyday . im sure i was making some sick power, but never made it back to the dyno to retune on that motor. youll love it, just get a good tuner and a good standalone

Don't go back to the shop. If for some reason you do kick the tuner in the nutz.

Hey Bro-
A type R is a very good engine to start with for a turbo setup. Its one of the most powerful engines Honda makes but you should be careful running a turbo setup in it. Your eninge should be able to handle a fair amount of boost but its not about what it can handle, its all about TUNING! Many cars that have a decent engine can handle a significatn amount of boost with proper tuning. My reccomendation would be to get a very good management unit (i.e. Hondata) and do some serious tuning. You get what you par for with a turbo kit, so tune as much as possible and kick some *** in kick *** car.
