Can a p28 be "chipped" with a stock DOHC program?
Alright guys, I FINALLY got my car running right. I bought a skunk2 obd2-1 jumper and a p28 off a member of H-T and my car started right up and boosted without a problem.
Problem: (well not really a problem) The p28 was originally used for HONDATA, when my shop opened up the ECU they said that it has been tampered with but when I asked the previous owner he told me that it was cut at j1 so it ran as a stock p28. The shop then told me that they could resolder that at that jumper but it would not run with that hondata chip in there and that I need to find a "stock" program
So basically, where can I find or get a stock DOHC program with perhaps a higher rev limit, etc?
I am using a SMC and 450s for fuel management if that helps
Thanks in advance and any other input would be appreciated.
Mick

If you cut the J1, then the ecu is back to stock.
So if J1 is cut, then you have a STOCK p28 in your hands.
If you resolder the J1 then it will WONT BE STOCK, It will try to read the the map off the Hondata chip. It wont work very well because you will be missing the interface box.

Do yourself a favor and get Hondata or you can try to use the mugen or skunk2 or any of those other programs. I can get it chipped for you, let me know.
