can any of you chime in on vw vortex for a minute......
#1, i love my VW, i really didnt know about cars when i bought it, but whe i learned, i Turboed it all by myself, yeah its heavy, and if i were to do it over, it would be gsr boost, but a well built car is a well bbuilt car. i dont like honda more than vw or vice versa, but i respect any properly done up, tuned car. as many of you do. anyways, i just hate when people bash, so chime in if you'd like. http://forums.vwvortex.com/zeropost?...ply&id=6197452

I have respect for VW comfort, design and power. But one point i would like to make. When i was at the dyno getting my car tuned, they do both VWs and Hondas. While my car was getting dyno/tuned a VW 20V turbo something was next. he asked me what i have done to my car and he asked why would i ever turbo a honda. i said to get some more power, and he told me to get a VW stock turbo. i asked him how much boost and it was 1.3 bar (~20 psi). and he was happy that he just ran a 14.4 at the track. i am 5.5 psi and i think i could be in the low 14 second mark, also at 1/4 of the boost.
both cars are good IMHO and those topics are really stupid
