Cams with alot of overlap might blow a little nitrous out of the exhaust valves, but there is no need to change the cams because of this.

so your saying with more aggressive cams i might blow nitrous out of the exaust valves and have more of a chance to blow the motor?

it's more of an issue of loosing power, not so much as blowing your motor.

i'm using Blox 1's on a direct port setup.

when you go with high duration/high lift cams, the valves stay open longer, not burning all the nitrous , making it to puddle up and go to waste it in the valve chambers. no engine blowing up but your just not gonna get the full potential power from the nitrous.

nitrous will respond better if the increased exhaust duration is gained by opening the exhaust valve earlier in the cycle. advancing the exhaust cam with a cam gear will help get the full potential shot

I'm running nitrous on a B18b with some Crower 404's......both gears are at 0.
So it would be beneficial to advance the exhaust cam? How many degrees?

how much did you move the cam?
did you do intake and exhaust, or just exhaust?
