cai charge pipe?

Default cai charge pipe?

is it possible to use a cold air intake for charge pipe? if so how hard is it to weld the bov to it?

yes it can be done. i did it. since just about all aftermarket cai are made of aluminum you own't be able to weld a steel flange to it. what i did was buy the flange for my bov, JB welded it to my cai. jb weld held up just fine.

Just weld the BOV flange onto another section of metal pipe and clamp it to the CAI pipe, going to the TB. Like I did here:



I was even able to use the rest of the CAI to make the intake pipe coming from the compressor inlet. Can you say Ghetto Rig'd?

yep, have been done on many occasion. We even used the aerospeed FMIF (Front Mount Intake Filter) piping before..........

i did it also, but i then got someone to TIG weld a nice turbosmart BOV flange (hose clamp type) alumionun peice to mine,

not sure if it was worth it to weld the aluminum on, but it does sure look sick!

remember, the BOV doesnt HAVE to go on the upper charge pipe. You should just weld it in somewhere else!

alot of people i know use the aem and injen cold air intake for part of the cold pipe they just weld the blow off flange on it

interesting; with my luck with couplers it would start leaking though
