C/R for boosted jdm gsr
Hey honda tech. I'm curious to know if a 10.1 compression ratio would be a hair too much for a build consisting of the following:
Jdm GSR b18c Head:
Skunk2 pro series valvetrain
Skunk2 pro1 camshafts
Skunk2 pro series intake manifold
No headwork.
Jdm GSR b18c Block:
10:1 comp pistons
Forged rods
Stock sleeves
Turbo/Exhaust:
Gt35r .82 a/r
Ramhorn Manifold
Full 3in exhaust, no cat
Fuel:
255 fuel pump
RRFP regulator
1000cc ID injectors
This setup is for a DD on 93 octane. Looking for 500whp on that octane peak numbers, but around 300 to 400whp for daily. Plan on tuning it with Neptune.
My tuner is pretty good, just wanting some opinions/insight on someone who maybe has ran a similar setup for DD.

Sorry I didn't specify. I'm not looking to DD 500whp, just peak #s.
I'll be setting bp at whatever gets me 300-400whp daily. I have yet to decide..
Did you tune your setup on any other fuel with a lower octane level? (I believe e85 is equivalent to 107 octane.)
If so what numbers did you make safely?
Up for more info!!

10:1 will be fine like everyone stated. If I'm not mistaken Speedfactory is running 8's with a 10.8:1 compression motor. Best investment ever NLR AMS 1000.

I had a stock jdm b16 sir2 10.4:1 boosted to 7psi as a DD awhile back and no issues at all. The turbo needed a rebuild before the engine ever did. Don't always believe the hype and myths that you have to run "lower c/r" in order to boost.
