Default Burning Oil HELP

A freind of mine has a b18b that we built for his turbo project. We have not boosted on it yet becuase we are still breaking it in all-motor. However It is burning oil bad. Cylinders 1 and 2 are running great, plugs are good and show a healthy burn. However when we pull 3 and 4 they are soaked in oil. Ive built about 6 motors now and have never come across this. Im guessing that the rings on those cylinders were just installed incorrectly, ill find out when I pull it apart for him for sure. But I was wondering if you guys had any other ideas as to why this would happen on 3 and 4 other then coincedence. Maybe because it is on the shallow side of the pan or something random that im not thinking of. I didnt bother to do a compression test beacue I figured the #s would be so inaccurate do to the oil in the cylinders. Thanks in advance for help.
Hard break-in BTW but it was smoking from the moment we started it up.

do a compression and leak down test. the rings might be all lined up together its hard to tell. no new motor should have any type of oil on the plugs

Its a little late for that since the motor is out of the car and I dont have a leak down tester, I should know if the rings lined up soon when I get time to help him out and pull apart the motor. Any other ideas or just coincedence it was 3 and 4. BTW those were the first cylinders he put together ever (this was his first motor)

Thats the main reason I asked, Im just confused as to why 1 and 2 would run so perfect when 3 and 4 are fucked. I just wanted to make sure there wasnt some crazy thing going on in the motor or then poorly installed rings
