Help Built Gsr
Just took my darton sleeved GSR block in to the machine shop today the sleeves are 84mm the guy wants to know how much I want honed, suggested boreing to 84.5mm or even 85mm bad thing is, I starting to take this motor apart just to replace head gasket bought a new cometic head gasket 84mm.Once apart found number 4 piston melted a little. Now rebuilding, If i go ahead and have him hone it out a little possibly 20 over he said it wont even need that much, will I still be able to use the 84mm head gasket cause if not I wanna bore the sleeves out to 84.5 possibly 85mm would that be bad to do on turboed motor....Whats a good Head gasket for HIGH BOOST Please post opinions

Re: Help Built Gsr (JLHDOHC)
You can still use the 84mm HG if you go 84.5mm. If you go 85mm, you'll need an 85mm HG. We have them in stock if you need one. As for CR, stick with 9:1.
