building a turbo kit
anybody know of any good resources on building custom turbo kits? i need information not so much on the major pieces (turbo, bov, wastegate, manifold, ect.) i can do a search for that. im looking for info on the small things, like the different lines, pipes, and hoses and all the miscelaneous details needed for the install. TIA

from my experience....buying a kit with all the stuff will be less of a head ache. but then agian puting your own
together will give u more knowledge about your car and the parts u put into it...just do it right from the start.

thats one of the reasons i've decided to go custom. i cant stand these kids that slap on a kit and blow their engine to hell the next week. i wanna slowly piece everything together (im in no rush, i just want to do it right), and in the process gain knowledge so that in the future when something goes wrong i wont be clueless
slowly is right... its gonna take a very long time... personally for the first time your FI, i would get a kit instead... after you understand how it works good, then its much easier making your own turb setup the second time around.
in your case the maxrev turbo kit might be the way to go.....the kit is design for people who want to build a turbo car the right way the first time.
comes with turbo
manifold
down pipe
waste gate
IC and some u bends
some oil return lines and fittings.
all the other stuff u have to get yourself. Gives u flexability.
