<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">The "freeze" plugs are not a stock thread, so if you were planning on running an Endyn catch can setup, you cannot use the supplied block fittings. If you look closely at the pic's above, you can see that I ended up using modified 3/4" to -8an fittings. If Earl can find it, I had him take a pick of both fittings side by side.</TD></TR></TABLE>
The block seems to be a mish-mash of BSPT and NPT thread.
If you plan on using AN fittings, it's actually kind of a good thing that they used 3/4" NPT thread for those block plugs since finding metric to AN adapters of that size (M28) is pretty hard and expensive. I just paid $25.00 for a M28 to -12AN Flare aluminum adapter from Z10. I'm glad I only needed one.
And, I can't really tell from the glare on the journals, but are those fillets undercut or rolled?

Re: (G"UNIT)
i put a tall deck dark block in my car for a weekend a while back.......it would not fit under my 95 coupe hood...i had to put spacers under the hood to make it clear. lots of torque.....unfortunatly i was borrowing it for a race...and since it wasnt mine i didnt push it at all....with a gt35r, 18psi, and only reving it to 8k rpm it still went 10's......gets a in my book...........good luck with the rest of the project!

right, but with the oil squirting on the piston it would cool it off and limit the chance??
sorry for picking your brain, its that im building a dart also and im torn between the damn squirt or no squirt???
thanks earl

One time when we were on the road with our race car, we lost our tune-up. We had to re-tune but an error caused 10 degrees of extra timing. The car ran great for the first 1000 feet but nosed over at the finish line. We completely melted every piston in a matter of 2 seconds. With the temperature it takes to melt aluminum, a little oil squirting underneath the piston would not help anything.
The squirter was designed by Honda to control the expansion of a tight fitting cast piston. The forged have more clearance and can take much more heat.
thanks earl</TD></TR></TABLE>

Re: (Jared)
Well heres a little teaser shot of it in the CRX. Mind you I still have alot of work to get done before it is ready....
The tall deck barely hits the webbing of my hood (SIR hood). I cut the webbing out over the valve cover and it fits fine.

Yes, its a custom inconel heat shield, I have one for the manifold too, but I still need to hook up a few things before I finish it.
