Default Building A Head for Nitrous

ok my block is being built up right now and im still deciding if i should touch the head.
i have a stock type r head and im going to be spraying around 100-130hp worth of nitrous on the motor. i was wondering if it should put in forged valves, and titanium valve springs and retainers for that much nitrous.
or would the stock type r stuff hold up with no problems
thanks for any help

SS valves would deffinitally be a well worth it part when using alot of nitrous. springs and retainers well I would do them too if you have the money but typee-r stuff is a little stronger then other motors so better then stock b16/gsr's i guess

Might be worth porting the exhaust side and getting larger exhaust valves. Nitrous motors have a lot more exhaust volume.

i was thinking about getting a whole buddy club package with springs, retainers, valves and the spec 4 cams.
but i wasnt sure how the nitrous would go with those cams

Get some Manley race valves for sure, the valves get eaten up bad from nitrous hits.. You might wanna work the head for better quench as well while its off if you know how to do this.
If I were running that big of shot I would weld in tighter Quench spots and CC the heads for tighter #s and not risk hot spots to melt ****.

I second the valve idea, I wouldn't trust anything stock...as far as porting, you can port the head for NOS but when your not on the button it will run like a dog with fleas. I would buy the super comp valves from ferrea at least for the exhaust side.
